TASTEE FRIED CHICKEN’S MRS. OLAYINKA ADEDAYO THANKS GOD AT 70

The Doyenne of Nigeria’s quick service restaurant business and the Grand Dame behind the popular Tastee Fried Chicken brand, Mrs Olayinka Pamela Adedayo is seventy! And her family and friends are not only excited but are thankful to God.
Known for her special delicacies, Mrs Adedayo broke into the consciousness of Nigerians with the establishment of Tastee Fried Chicken (TFC) where she developed her own finger-linking style of fried, grilled, baked, smoked and chicken in a sauce along with other unique recipes. The meals were so well packaged and delicious that its pay off-line “We Do Chicken Right” became the sing-song in many households. Little wonder many refer to her as “Mama Tastee” or Mama Oluwabunmi.
In no time, her commitment to the brand grew into an obsession, and this eventually led to an explosion. Thus from its first outlet at 61 Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, Surulere, Lagos, Tastee Fried Chicken branches began to spring up across Lagos and other parts of Nigeria.
Thoughts of the life changing moment of that beautiful night in December 1971, when I took the decisive step of proposing to you, flash through my mind. I cannot help but be grateful to God that you did not turn me away as I poured out my heart to you on Jebba Street, Ebute-Metta in the presence of your brother and my own pal, Yomi. This memory will forever be cherished and refreshed as I bask daily in the love that you are to me
In you, I call home and there is nowhere else I would rather be, than by your side, my dearest, because you complete me in every way. And oh yes! You gave me love; you have given me love; and you continue to give tirelessly; sacrificing yourself for my happiness. In you, I make my boast, to say that I made the best choice and was blessed with true love.
Olayinka, these words do not convey to you how much of yourself you give to others and how deeply you are appreciated. You have been and are a wonderful WIFE to me, a perfect MOTHER to our Beloved Oluwabunmi & Oluwayemisi, and an endearing GRANDMA to Iyanuoluwayimika and Morolaoluwa. We genuinely cherish you in our lives, my dearest.
Ayinkus, as I fondly call you, is “my balance to life”. You have in various ways leveled out my inadequacies and complemented me. When I am weak, you are strong for us; when I am about to make salient decisions, you are right there to avail me with a balanced view of things through your candid advice. You are so full of wisdom that I never stop being amazed that for your age, you are already overflowing with the wisdom of the old, which is one of the reasons we are thriving well in the business we started together right from inception.
My dearest Yinka, you are a significant part of all that is good in “our world” and a positive contributor to my success. Your honesty, transparency and wonderful virtues give me the confidence to take on life without fear. You have also helped to turn the dreams of several people into reality. Indeed you have proven the saying that the best use of life is to spend it for something that outlasts it.

SHE WAS A AN INSPIRATION – Says Sanwo-Olu As He Mourns MRS IBIDUN IGHODALO

I was shocked when I received the news that my friend, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo had lost his wife and partner, Mrs Ibidun Ighodalo.

Mrs Ibidun Ighodalo was an inspiration to many. I pray for strength for Pastor Ituah, their children, loved ones and the many she has touched.

There are no words strong enough to comfort someone on the death of their loved one. But we would continue to commit them unto the hands of God who is the ultimate healer and comforter.

My prayer is that Mrs. Ibidun Ighodalo rests in peace, and that God continues to abide with Pastor Ituah and their loved ones. Amen.”

THE LIVELY WEDDING OF ABIMBOLA AYININUOLA AND PAUL TAFOYA AT CONRAD HOTEL, NEW YORK

It was a lively and lovely celebration when Abimbola, the adorable daughter of top banker, Mr. Sam Ayininuola and businesswoman, Mrs. Ikoliba Ayininuola wedded dashing Paul Tafoya in New York, United States of America.

The very intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends only was held at the prestigious Conrad Hotel in Downtown Manhattan, New York City.
With an excellent view of the Hudson River, Conrad New York Downtown is a luxurious facility, top-star facility that offers guests classy pampering and a wonderful dining experience-and theses were what guests savoured on this special occasion.


The wedding proper kicked off with the solemnization ceremony. It was short and sweet ceremony that was co-ordinated by Pastor Mike Carrugth. The highest point of the occasion was when the couple said “I do”, exchanged rings and shared a first kiss.

This elicited cheers and applause from all corners of the hall especially the elated parents of the bride. This signaled the end of the first part of the occasion.
Part two began when the guests were treated to a cocktail reception while the bride, groom, family and friends took glamorous pictures under the New York City skyline.


After about an hour and a half, guests were invited to take their seats in the main banquet hall for the reception. The groom’s band, where he’s an instrumentalist, thrilled guests with pulsating jams throughout. There were some speeches, which added spice to the event, dinner was served and finally the cutting of the cake by the lovely couple.
The formal ceremony over, guests partied till late into the night.

DEBBIE CAPTAN CELEBRATES 45TH BIRTHDAY IN STYLE

Ghanaian business woman, gorgeous Debbie Captan has proved to the world that her nick name “glamour babe” is no fluke as she hosted a classy party to mark her 45th birthday.
The celebration began the day before with photo shoot. This set the stage for a one-of-its-kind party which unfolded at her home in the Spintex Area of Accra, Ghana.

As expected for one who takes the things of God seriously, the event began with  a praise worship and prayer session attended by family, friends and loved ones. Then, it was time for jollity as music took centre stage as guests savoured assorted meals.

The ever cheerful birthday lady, always a perfect hostess, had prepared to pamper guests to breakfast, lunch and dinner-and she did not disappoint. An array of african and continental dishes were served from morning till almost midnight when guests were still rollicking.

Debbie looked stunning and amazing as she took the center stage in the course of the celebration to displayed her wonderful dance moves.  That was not all, her children also presented a special, well-choreographed that was rehearsed for many weeks.


What could be described as the highest point of the occasion was when all those born in her month were invited to join the glamour babe, and the Happy Birthday song was sang delightfully.

The day ended with popping of champagnes and a toast for more life and prosperity. Indeed it was a day of love, joy and glamour for the beautiful ageless beauty.
In a chat with Ovation she stated ” Today, I just want to thank God for adding another year to my life. It was a beautiful birthday organised by my husband and children. It was one of the happiest moments of my life.

“I was really happy that friends that have known for many years came to surprise me.As the years go by, leaving their marks and memories, I begin to realize how beautiful and blissful a life it has been.I am grateful to God for His mercies on me and my family. ADETUTU AYENI CLOCKS 50 IN GRANDSTYLE

Adetutu Ayeni, the adorable wife of Chairman/CEO of Skymit Motors and unassuming businessman, Tayo Ayeni, hit the BIG 50! And the family rolled out the drums to mark it with pomp and pageantry.

As a God-fearing pair, the day naturally began in the presence of the Lord as the celebrant, her darling husband, family and friends gathered at the Church of Nativity, Parkview, Ikoyi. In fact, the celebrator told us exclusively that the thanksgiving service was the most important aspect of the celebration because she had every cause to thank God for her life.
The service was conducted byVenerable Tayo Aduloju, who, in his sermon, praised Mrs. Ayeni for her commitment to God’s work. With wondrous hymns and choruses the service was enlivened, while later, there was a session of prayers for the good health and well being of the golden lady.


Later, guests were hosted to a sumptuous reception at the Harbor Point, Victoria Island, where food and drinks were aplenty just as Shuga Band and King Sunny Ade were on hand to provide high quality entertainment.

REDTV SHAKES LAGOS WITH SHOWDOWN 2019

The much-awaited RedTV Rave 4 finally berthed in Lagos, and it lived up to the hype of being a high octane evening of pulsating entertainment.


REDTV, a fast-paced lifestyle channel that puts Africa on the global stage which is powered by the United Bank for Africa, left no stone unturned as it gave everyone present an opportunity to relax, recharge and enjoy.

The entertainment platform ensured that that there was no dull moment at the Lekki Special Events Centre venue as top stars such as Burna Boy, Olamide, Jidenna and Africa’s Star Boy, Wizkid thrilled hundreds of guests.


That was not all, rising stars Fireboy, Tems, Ajebutter22, SDC, BOJ, DRB as well as DJ Concequence and DJ Sparrow all delivered big time.
A special feature that  made the event extra special was not only that admission was free, but guests got complimentary food and drinks!  It was without any shadow of doubt a night to remember.

SUJIMOTO CELEBRATES FIVE YEARS IN GRAND STYLE

A WONDROUS FAREWELL FOR DEACONESS ADETOUN OLADEJI

Celebrated Nigerians joined family and friends to give a virtuous woman, Deaconess Adetoun Oladeji a very glorious farewell as she was committed to mother earth in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The accomplished Deaconess, who served diligently and consistently in the vineyard of the Lord began her final journey home with a service of songs held at MOAT Pavillion, International Conference Centre, Ibadan. The service of songs was such an emotional occasion for many, who used the opportunity to recount memorable moments with Deaconess Oladeji, who was fondly referred to as a mother in a million.

The next day, a funeral service was held at Orita Meta Baptist Church where His Eminence, Dr. Sunday Ola Makinde, Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, coordinated proceedings. In his sermon, he stated that the deceased lived a fruitful and rewarding life and left many laudable legacies. After the wondrous service, her remains were moved to the church’s cemetery where they were interred amid dust-to-dust rites and tears by her children and close family members.

The funeral, which was professionally organized by 2706 Events was thereafter rounded off with a first-rate reception at the Moat Pavillion, International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan. Guests were given a royal treatment in terms of victual while King Sunny Ade was on the bandstand, thrilling till late into the night. TAYO ADERIBIGBE WEDS GABRIELLA De OLIVERIA IN A GLAMOROUS LOVE UNION OF TWO CONTINENTS

The colours, the ambience and the general feelings were highly turbocharged when West Africa crossed paths with South America at the highly rated wedding ceremonies of Tayo Aderibigbe from Nigeria and his adorable sweetheart, Gabriella De Oliveria from Brazil at the cozy city of Surrey, United Kingdom.

 

The moments were nothing short of magical, breathtaking and magnificent, with four classy outings in a space of one weekend: African and Brazilian traditions were at their best, exuding pomp, glamour and love.

The elegant mother of the groom, Mrs. Patricia Aderibigbe, set the stage for what was going to be the wedding of the year when a private dinner bash was hosted by her close friends and associates, Maureen Bond and Temi Awofala, at the GA Grill Restaurant in the heart of London.

The informal get together, which had members of Beacon Club International, which the mother of the groom co-founded, featured “get to know you” games, music and high-octane networking. The meeting also witnessed exchange of gifts and goodies, as the mother of the groom and her friends went home with bags of Zaron cosmetics.

Other attendees were Sarah-Jane Abraham, Adesuwa Uzamere, Rosemary Grotenberk and Candance Catalano from the United States and Canada. There were also Eniola Oyekanmi, Abieyuwa Erediauwa, Boma Alabi, Judith Eweka, Kemi Rockson, Simbo Ukiri,  Uzo Oshogwe and Yemi Obileye, who came from Nigeria. Representing residents of the UK at the event were Maureen Bond, Temi Awofala, Eziunor Moemeke, Bose Oluwadare, Vivienne Ajeh, Abiola Fabusiwa, Iyore Eweka, Veronica Eweka, Helyn Woghiren and Flora Edoja

All roads later led to St. Margaret’s Chipstead Church in Surrey the following weekend for the upscale wedding. The venue was literarily transformed into a compound of colours as radiantly attired guests filled the length and breadth of the venue awaiting the arrival of the bride and her heartthrob.
St Margaret’s, an exciting and flourishing church with an 800-year-old tradition, was just an ideal setting for the fairytale nuptial. And everyone who sensed there was something extra special in the offing was not disappointed.


It was not long before the beautiful Gaby, as she was fondly called, made her grandiose entry, riding in a chauffeur-driven, open-top Cream vintage Rolls Royce. She looked stunning in her breathtaking wedding dress.
Accompanied by her doting father, she gracefully made her way into the packed church to where her husband to be, Tayo Aderibigbe and guests waited.
Every aspect of the ceremony that followed was beautiful and radiated love, passion, warmth and adoration. The love in the eyes of the young couple spoke volumes. The international audience of guests present beamed with delight at the excitement of the occasion. The parents and families of bride and groom, all beautifully festooned in stunning attires, looked on proudly as the ceremony, which was presided over by a lady vicar, progressed.

The official joining of the couple was itself topnotch and as the newly-weds and their parents were led into the vestry for the official signing of the wedding register, the guests were treated to some captivating love songs by a trio of angelic singers.
The couple was later whisked away in their stately carriage as the crowd applauded and waved cheerfully at the departing newlyweds.

PROPHETESS MARY OLUBORI OF HAVILAH MOUNTAIN OF FIRE CELEBRATES GOD AT SPECIAL CRUSADE

Uk-based woman of God, Prophetess Mary Olubori was the cynosure of all eyes when she hosted a week long prayer and fasting session to celebrate the wonderful work of God at a programme called “All Mighty: 7 Days Celebration”.

The Prophetess, who is the Founder, Havilah Mountain of Fire and her husband, Prophet Israel Olubori, ministered to hundreds of faithfuls during the spiritually-stimulating event and many souls were saved for Christ.

The soulful event, which was rounded off with a power-packed praise and worship session was attended by such personalities as Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Timi of Ede, HRM Oba (Dr.) Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Representative of HRM Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, CSP Dolapo Badmus and Mr Seye Kehinde, Publisher of City people Magazine.

Guests were entertained by Ayefele, Kehinde & Taiwo Adegbodu, Boye Best while comedians Ashiri and Baba Alariya added a touch of spice with mature jokes.
The highest point of the occasion was the presentation of a gift by Ooni of Ife and wife, Queen Naomi, to the elated Prophetess Olubori who then showered the royal couple with prayers.
