“Bride Hard” Premieres in Los Angeles

By Samantha Ofole-Prince

Directed by Simon West (“The Expendables 2”), “Bride Hard” stars a powerhouse lineup of comedic talent that includes Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Anna Chlumsky and Academy Award winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph.

The film, which celebrated its premiere at the Directors Guild Theater in Los Angeles, follows Rebel Wilson who plays a secret agent forced into action when mercenaries crash the party at best friend’s wedding.

Wilson is Sam, a secret agent whose best friend since childhood, played by Anna Camp, is about to get married. Sam can’t tell her best buddy nor any of her bridesmaids — played by Anna Chlumsky, Gigi Zumbado and Da’Vine Joy Randolph of her undercover mission and what starts as a weekend full of confessions, and celebration quickly turns into a rescue mission when the event is hijacked by a group of armed criminals.

It’s bridezilla vs. bazookas as she dodges bullets, brawls in heels, and tries to survive both the armed assailants and the wedding planner’s wrath.

“Bride Hard” releases in theaters Friday.
